This and the following photos show the ribs being glued to the shaped corner blocks. In a heretical moment I decided to use yellow cabinetmakers' glue (Titebond II) rather than hide glue. I didn't think that I'd be able to cope with the very short working time of the hot hide-glue, and felt that it was unlikely that these joints would need to be taken apart at some later date. For all other joints, though, I'll use the animal glue. I love the smell of it, too.
