We finally found a slab of figured maple suitable for the bass ribs (sides). These have been re-sawn from the billet on the big bandsaw, thickness-sanded, and are now ready to be bent around the forms to make the two upper bouts, the two C bouts (from one piece) and the two lower bouts.
