Fortunately the knife did not slip… After carving Ed cleaned up the cuts with a variety of fine files; the top is not yet planed down inside to its final thickness, and some more clean-up will happen when we turn it over to work on this, as well as the fitting and gluing of the bass-bar, of which more later.
