These boards are made from quarter-sawn sapele or from quarter-sawn beech. The brass strip projects one-sixteenth of an inch and may be used in the press to facilitate the formation of a french groove.
Two standard sizes are available (6’x9’, 8’x11”. 12’x18”, but boards can be custom made to any desired size.
