For virtually all of my woodworking life I've made one-offs. These have mostly been bespoke pieces designed for a specific client and location. When business is slow, however, I'll make speculative pieces which are displayed in the small gallery adjoining the workshop.
I don't limit myself to furniture. I was trained in the UK as a "bench joiner", and still like to make doors, windows and the occasional stair – just as long as I don't have to work too far away from my workshop.
I also regularly undertake antique repairs and restorations.
