A more decorative version of the stand-up. The base is made from a fortuitous single 2" cherry board with a quite distinctive figure. The top and drawer front are heavily figured maple. The drawer knobs, inlay stringing and the low gallery are all of ebony. The top is inlaid with a leather writing surface, and the top can be lifted off the underframe and used on a table top or other surface.
